IRCA Family Support Webinar (Online)

Throughout the school year, Indiana Resource Center for Autism staff are hosting free family support webinars using expertise from across the state. Presentations will cover topics identified by family members to be of particular interest. Register in advance for these webinars (https://go.iu.edu/44rD). After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. Presentations will start at Noon (eastern time) and last approximately 30-45 minutes. There will be time for global questions and answers after. If you have questions about a specific child, we encourage you to email Dr. Cathy Pratt at prattc@indiana.edu, or the speaker for the relevant topic.

November 15, 2021 Title: Transition from School: When the Bus Stops Coming – A Parent Perspective from a 2020 Transition

Presenter: Michele Trivedi, MHA Manager, The Insurance Advocacy Resource Center The Arc of Indiana Overview: Michele Trivedi is the parent of a 24-year-old on the spectrum who transitioned from school during the 2020 pandemic shut down. Michele will discuss lessons learned, options after high school and what she wished she knew before and during transition. Michele is also a contractor with The Arc of Indiana’s Advocacy Network and a longtime advocate for health insurance coverage for autism treatment.
