The HANDS in Autism® Next Steps™ workshop is an interactive workshop that will provide stakeholders an opportunity, as a diverse group, to learn about and discuss general information about the autism spectrum disorder (ASD), adjusting to the diagnosis, and how to make appropriate treatment decisions and create support strategies. A comprehensive manual providing information on ASD, diagnosis, family considerations, resources and supports, treatment and intervention, rights and regulations, as well as practical strategies, is distributed to the registered workshop attendees (one per registered household).

Next Steps™ is primarily designed for primary caregivers who have a child that has recently been diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. However, this workshop may also be beneficial for other caregivers, educational or therapy professionals, medical providers, and other adult family members.

This online community workshop is hosted by the Northcentral & Southwest LCC Regions to address their regional cadre goals. However, registration and participation is open to anyone–regardless of location.
