Charting the LifeCourse for Students and Families – Online

April 23, 2020 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Charting the LifeCourse Framework helps individuals with disabilities and their families develop a vision for a good life while exploring opportunities, experiences, and supports necessary to achieve that vision. In Indiana, the Division of Disability and Rehabilitative Services (DDRS) uses the LifeCourse Framework as their guide to transform and deliver holistic services and supports that assist individuals and families in realizing their best life. This way of thinking can help transition-aged youth and their families plan for the transition from high school to adult life, including employment.

Public Consulting Group, in partnership with DDRS and Vocational Rehabilitation and in collaboration with the Department of Education, is offering this web-based learning opportunity at no cost to participants. Workshop participants will be able to:
• Envision what a good life after high school looks like for their student
• Identify experiences that will develop skills to realize that good life
• Explore integrated supports that can holistically and creatively meet their needs
• Use LifeCourse tools for problem solving and communicating wants and needs
